Hunting Trips
Our club provides opportunities for you to get out and do what you joined for – that is to hunt
Geese & Pest Management
Controlling Geese On Indigenous Mango Farms
We assist farmers where native Magpie Geese and introduced species are damaging crops and orchards in the Top End.
Yarra Valley Vineyard Pest Management
We regularly assist winegrowers to control deer and bird pests through out the growing season.
Deer Hunting
Free Range Hunting Of All Deer Species. These fine Chittal Trophy Stags were stalked in October’s tropical heat in North Qld. Free range deer are stalked on both private and public lands. Several of our members are also members of our sister club, the SSAA Deer Stalkers, offering us opportunities to hunt from their hunting lodge.
Control Feral Pigs
All Farmers Appreciate Help To Control Feral Pigs. Members have access to properties that offer the opportunity to hunt pigs, goats and rabbits for the freezer. This was one of 30 pigs harvested over a 5 day hunt in northern N.S.W. Hunting these properties is a great way to hone your skills and meet people on the land who appreciate and need our help.
Hunt In All States
Members Hunt In All States & Territories
Sheep, cattle and crop farmers appreciate our help to control foxes, pigs, wild dogs and rabbits on stations and farmland. We also seasonally hunt waterfowl on rice fields in N.S.W.
We Have Fox Hunts within 2 hours of the CBD
Fox hunting is a strong tradition within the club, we regularly hunt foxes on local farmland and across Victoria and interstate.
Game Meat
Game Meat Harvested For The Table. There is a whole lot more to hunting than pulling the trigger, most members hunt for sport but also to harvest as much free range meat as they can carry. Hunting provides cuts of meat for roasts, stews, schnitzels, sausages, cabana and salamis. Smoked meats, sausages, jerky and bacon are also produced by our members, often competing for taste as their trophy !
Mentorship
Young hunters are mentored on gun safety. Firearm safety and responsible hunting is strongly adhered to within our Club. Young hunters or those new to hunting receive expert instruction from experienced members. We encourage ethical and humane treatment of all animals, and respect the land, environment and property of others. Hunting is a privilege, provided to us by our forbearers, it’s something we respect!
